DESCRIPTION:The Rotary Club of Gulf Breeze welcomes gumbo connoisseurs to sample the best gumbo at the 14th annual Gumbo Cook-Off on Saturday\, March 23 from 11am - 3pm. Over 20 teams will be competing to be named best of best for their gumbo dishes. Gumbo lovers can donate $10 for unlimited gumbo samples and opportunity to vote for the crowd favorite gumbo. Celebrity judges will name the Best Gumbo award and the crowd votes to name the the People's Choice award. Nearly 1\,200 people sampled gumbo from more than 20 teams at last year's event. The event will be complemented with a silent auction\, Big Green Egg raffle\, craft beer\, live music and much more! If you have a great gumbo recipe and would like to compete\, there is still time to register your team. Both private groups and restaurant teams are welcome to vie for prizes at the event. Proceeds for the Gumbo Cook-Off fund the Rotary Club of Gulf Breeze College Scholarship program. The club has awarded almost $750\,000 to deserving Gulf Breeze students throughout the past two decades.
