(July 26\, 2018)  The public is invited to join the Baptist Health Care stroke team to Strike Out Stroke at the Pensacola Blue Wahoos game on Wednesday\, Aug. 1 at 6:30 p.m. at the Wahoos Stadium. \n\n\n\nThe Baptist stroke team will have a table set up on the stadium deck and will be distributing free educational materials to fans about stroke and how to identify its signs and symptoms. \n\n\n\nA stroke occurs when the blood supply to part of the brain is interrupted or reduced\, depriving brain tissue of oxygen and nutrients. It is the fifth leading cause of death and a leading cause of disability in the United States. The good news is that 80 percent of strokes are preventable.
