DESCRIPTION:Santa Rosa County will host Household Hazardous Waste Amnesty Day from 8 AM to noon on October 14th at the Santa Rosa County South Service Center.  This event is for Santa Rosa County residents only\, no businesses.\n\n\n\nThe following items will be accepted and should never be disposed of with household garbage:\n\nup to five regular car or truck tires per vehicle (no large\, heavy-duty or racing tires accepted)\n\nup to five gallons each of:\n\nantifreeze\, gasoline\, oil and oil filters\n\npaint and solvents\n\nlubricants and grease\n\npesticides and fertilizers\n\npool cleaners\, household cleaners\n\nbatteries\, battery backups (UPSs)\n\noil filters\n\nfive-gallon propane bottles\n\naerosol cans\n\nflat screen monitors and flat screen TVs\n\ncomputers\, printers\, copiers\, fax machines\, typewriters\, DVD/DVR players\n\nfluorescent light bulbs\n\nfire extinguishers\n\napproved sharps containers   Bring a full sharps container for proper disposal and receive a free replacement container!\nFor additional information\, please call 850-981-7135.
