A two-day horticulture course themed ''From Beaches to Woodlands'' will take place on August 8 - 9 at UF/IFAS Extension Santa Rosa County located at 6263 Dogwood Drive in Milton. Topics include Gardening in Sandy Soil, Wildflower Research, Invasive Plants, Using Native Plants in Designs, Snakes and Reptiles, Coastal Concerns, Scrub Habitats and Long-leaf Pines. Each day check-in begins at 8 a.m. with the program beginning at 8:45 a.m. and continues until 4 p.m. Registration for the two day event is $50 and includes lunch and handouts.
