Artists Gone Wild

Description

The silent auction art event and reception includes work by local artists, much of it inspired by local wildlife and scenery. Donating artists include: Valerie Aune, Paula Payne, Debbie Andress, Trisha Macks, Betsy Walker, Susan Mayer, Christina Smith, Janice Neitzel, Steve Neitzel, Mary Inabnit, Tristessa Osborne, Kevin Osborne, Kay Packwood, Tommy Vogel, Heidi Moore, Lindy Brown, Sue Woodson, Talis Jayme, Heather Mitchell, Karen Groves, Steve Andrews, John and Betty Hawkins, Rafi Perez, Linda Desroches, Klee Angelie, Margaret Hildreth, Mitzi Holt, Skip Tanner, Rick Russell, Sy and Anna White and George Willis Tate. The auction also includes items from local businesses, including Cabana's, Pensacola Hardware, Earth Products and Publix at Perdido Key. The special guest emcee is Marty Stanovich of ESPN Pensacola. The Wildlife Sanctuary is a non-profit organization based in Pensacola that works to provide care to injured or orphaned indigenous wildlife, rehabilitating and releasing the animals whenever possible. The sanctuary works in cooperation with local, state, and federal wildlife agencies and provides educational outreach. The sanctuary also provides a permanent home for more than 100 animals that cannot be released, including deer, fox, and a variety of birds, including bald eagles, owls and hawks. Visitors are welcome to come and view these animals Wednesdays through Saturdays from noon to 3:30 p.m.. The Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida is located at 105 North S Street.
