First City Art Center's 9th Annual Glass Jam Event in Conjunction with Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival set for Nov. 2 On Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 from 6-9 pm, First City Art Center (FCAC), in conjunction with the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival (GGAF), will host the 9th Annual Glass Jam event, which will bring some of the country's best glass blowers together with FCAC's glass artists to raise funds for FCAC's studios and programs. Patrons will enjoy an evening of complimentary hors d'oeuvres and drinks, music by The Davenports, and LIVE pottery and glass blowing demonstrations throughout the evening. View demonstrations by Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival glassblowers Mark Rosenbaum, Steve Palmer & Susan Gott. All pieces will be donated for a live auction. Other pieces donated by Sheron Davis and JJ Brown & Simona Rosasco will also be auctioned at the event. Sponsored by Integrated Surroundings, the event will also include several raffles and other unexpected surprises. Guests will have a chance to win glass items and opportunities to create their own fused glass art piece! A raffle ticket will be included with each entry donation.
