A free gardening program on controlling weeds in your garden, ''Weeds – If You Can't Beat ‘em, Grow ‘em!'', will be the focus of a garden program at Pensacola State College, Milton Campus in Building 4800. Amy Horner, PSC professor and program coordinator of Landscape and Horticulture Management, will enlighten the audience on weed biology and present ways to prevent and control them. This free gardening program is courtesy of Santa Rosa County Master Gardeners. The Milton Campus of Pensacola State College is also home to the UF/IFAS WFREC Gardens. Follow the signs on campus to find the gardens. The gardens are free and open to the public from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. every day the campus is open. Both self-guided and guided tours are available. Changing seasonal gardens feature a multitude of horticultural displays including shade, formal, children's and water gardens, bulbs, roses, shrubs, trees and perennials.
