Independence for the Blind & Pensacola Lions Club Pancake Breakfast
Independence for the Blind of West Florida (IB West) and the Pensacola Lions Club are pleased to announce their upcoming Pancake Breakfast.  The event will be held Saturday, November 18 from 7:30 am to 10:00 am at IB West’s new training facility, the C.W. Gemmill Learning Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired located at 3107 North Davis Highway. 

Tickets for the breakfast are $5.00, which includes pancakes, sausage, orange juice and coffee.  Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance from Lions Members or from the IB West office.  You can also contact Lion Glenn Barbee at (850) 492-9254 or Lion Becky Kirsch at (850) 477-2663 for more information.

Funds raised are used for Lions Charities including IB West and the Lions Sight Clinic which assists those who are not able to purchase glasses or afford eye operations.  These efforts support the Lions’ challenge from Helen Keller to become Knights for the Blind.

IB West is a private nonprofit agency, funded in part by the Florida Department of Education, Division of Blind Services, and provides training to individuals free of charge throughout a ten-county area:  Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Washington, Holmes, Calhoun, Jackson, Gulf, and Bay Counties.  IB West’s mission is to teach independent living skills, computer and adaptive technology, and to provide vocational assessments and employment related services to individuals of all ages who are blind or visually impaired.  If you would like more information about IB West, please call us at 477-2663 or visit our website,
