Sacred Heart Welcomes New Sports Medicine Surgeon to Pensacola
 
Pensacola, Fla. – Sports medicine surgeon Dr. Mark Elliott has joined Sacred Heart Medical Group. Dr. Elliott will see patients at Sacred Heart Sports Medicine located at 4521 N. Davis Hwy.

Dr. Elliott is a fellowship-trained orthopedic sports medicine surgeon specializing in the latest and most innovative techniques in arthroscopy, minimally invasive surgery, cartilage restoration, and non-operative treatments of sports-related injuries. Dr. Elliott’s expertise also includes open and arthroscopic treatment of hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, and elbow injuries.

Dr. Elliott completed an undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology and a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida. Dr. Elliott worked as a physical therapist in Panama City, Fla., for several years before entering medical school. He received his medical degree from the Florida State University, where he was inducted into the prestigious AOA Honor Medical Society.

He then completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Florida and served as administrative chief resident. Dr. Elliott completed a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at the University of Texas in Houston. While there, he served as the assistant team physician for the Houston Texans, Houston Astros, Houston Rockets, Houston Dynamo, and the University of Houston Athletic program.
