DESCRIPTION:The Green Industry - BMP training workshop is designed to provide training in Best Management Practices for anyone working in the lawn\, landscape\, pest control\, or municipal grounds areas.  Registration is $20 and includes lunch!On 6/18/09\, Governor Crist signed into law SB 494 requiring all commercial fertilizer applicators have a license by 1/1/14.  Passing the Green Insustries Best Management Practices or GI-BMP training is mandatory to obtain that license.  After receiving a certificate of completion\, a person must pay $25 and apply to receive a limited certification for urban landscape commercial fertilizer application.  A person possessing such a certification is not subject to additional local testing.
