Altig serves as Executive Vice President and Director of Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Dr. Altig advises the Bank president on monetary policy and oversees the Bank's regional executives and the research department. He also serves as a member of the Bank's Executive Leadership Committee. He is an adjunct professor of economics in the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago and from 2016 to 2019 served as director of the National Association for Business Economics.
