Description
The Florida PTAC at UWF offers a workshop entitled “Cost Accounting Basics for Government Contractors” on Wednesday, March 25, from 9:00 – 11:30 am. In this workshop, we will discuss the FAR requirements and an adequate accounting system. We will also talk about how a compliant accounting system results in reliable financial reporting, the ability to monitor your company’s indirect rates, and is the foundation for forecasting and proposing. Here are some of the areas we will discuss: Accounting Systems and FAR Requirements; Direct and Indirect Cost Pools; Indirect Rates; Timekeeping; Unallowable Costs; DCAA Audits; Financial Reporting; Policies and Procedures.
