The ''Art for a Change'' Dinner and Silent Auction

Waterfront Rescue Mission is known for helping, housing, and feeding the poor and homeless along the Gulf Coast. But time and the elements have taken a toll on the roof and HVAC systems at the Fort Walton Beach Mission, so Waterfront Rescue Mission is embarking on a spring fundraising campaign: ''Extreme Makeover: The Mission Edition,'' and in conjunction with that effort is hosting its first ''Art for a Change'' Dinner and Silent auction. SunQuest Cruises Solaris, the area's premiere dining and entertainment yacht, will be the venue for the event to be held from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, 2012. The event will feature a floating art gallery prior to departure, hors d'oeuvres and dinner, entertainment, door prizes, and a silent auction featuring creations from area artists, celebrity items and memorabilia, and a host of other items.
