Baptist Medical Group – Hematology-Oncology Welcomes Amr Hassan, M.D., DABIM, MLS
PENSACOLA, Fla. (Sept. 24, 2024) – Baptist Medical Group is pleased to welcome triple-board-certified, fellowship-trained physician Amr Hassan, M.D., DABIM, MLS, to its multispecialty physician network. Dr. Hassan specializes in hematology and oncology and offers quality, personalized care to patients at Baptist Medical Group – Hematology-Oncology.
Dr. Hassan earned his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine in Miramar, Florida. He has over 29 years of experience in the medical field, spanning various states such as Massachusetts, Indiana and Oregon, as well as abroad in the United Arab Emirates.
Dr. Hassan has served as a physician in various settings from hematology-oncology to hospice care. He has also served in leadership roles such as medical co-director at the Southern Care Hospice Care and Kindred Hospice Care programs in Jasper, Indiana, medical director of medical oncology services at Burjeel Cancer Institute in Abu Dhabi, UAE and medical director of the cancer treatment center at Sky Lakes Medical Center in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
Dr. Hassan is triple board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with subspecialties in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine. He is also a certified medical laboratory scientist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology. He retains memberships with the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the American Medical Association and the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. Dr. Hassan is fluent in English, Arabic and French. He has also earned his black belt grade three in the martial art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
