Gulf Islands National Seashore opens the Fort Pickens Area following Hurricane Francine

GULF BREEZE, Fla. -- Gulf Islands National Seashore will reopen the Fort Pickens Area and campground will reopen at 8 a.m. September 15.

Campground check-in will begin at 2 p.m.
 
Beachside parking lots will remain closed due to flooding. All other areas of the park reopened.
 
Please use caution when driving on Fort Pickens Road as there is still standing saltwater in areas.
