The FSBDC at UWF Govt. Contracting Services, is offering a workshop entitled “Davis Bacon Act and AARA Compliance Principles” on Wednesday, May 11th from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. This presentation will familiarize contractors, subcontractors, laborers and mechanics working as contracting agencies (as well as other interested parties) about the requirements of the Davis Bacon Act and projects funded by the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (AARA). This presentation summarizes key issues and pitfalls working under these acts as understood by the Department of Labor, as well as other government agencies purchasing work on federal works projects.
