Green Industry - Best Management Practices Training

The Green Industry - BMP training workshop is designed to provide training in Best Management Practices for anyone working in the lawn, landscape, pest control, or municipal grounds areas.  Registration is $20 and includes lunch!

On 6/18/09, Governor Crist signed into law SB 494 requiring all commercial fertilizer applicators have a license by 1/1/14.  Passing the Green Insustries Best Management Practices or GI-BMP training is mandatory to obtain that license.  After receiving a certificate of completion, a person must pay $25 and apply to receive a limited certification for urban landscape commercial fertilizer application.  A person possessing such a certification is not subject to additional local testing.  The certification expires four years after the date of issuance.
