The Memorial Day Observance - Living History Encampment will take place on Sunday, May 26th, 9:30 AM - 5 PM, at the Gulf Islands National Seashore.
The event features a living history encampment by Company C, 3rd U.S. Infantry (1860-1865) from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. Uniformed reenactors will conduct period “Colors” and “Retreat” ceremonies at 9:30 am, 12:00 pm, 5:00 pm. Company drill demonstrations will be at 10:00 am and 1:30 pm. Artillery drill demonstrations are at 11:00 am and 3:30 pm. A guided tour of Fort Pickens is at 2:00 p.m.
