With beans, without beans, white, red, easy to eat or hotter-n-hell, you’ll find every type of chili imaginable at Seville Quarter’s 24th Annual Great American Chili Cook-off. Pull out your favorite recipe and gather your "Bean Team Friends" for Pensacola's Best Chili Cook-off on Saturday, January 18, 2020 in Phineas Phogg’s. Amateur and professional teams will compete for bragging rights for the greatest chili in Pensacola. Each concoction will be judged on taste, smell and consistency and trophies will be awarded to the top three winners. In addition there is a Showmanship trophy (decoration and entertainment) as well as the coveted People’s Choice trophy.
Entry to the competition is $20 per team (three chefs per team) and is limited to the first fifteen teams. Each team must prepare their chili "from scratch" at Seville Quarter. Cooking begins at noon and the judging begins at 4:00pm. The public tasting is from 4:00-6:00pm and the cost is $10 per person at the door with all proceeds going to the Five Flags Sertoma Club.Mark your calendar for the Great American Chili Cook-off at Seville Quarter on Saturday, January 18, 2020 – it’s a fun-filled, highly seasoned event that the whole family can enjoy.
