The Gulf Breeze Optimist Club, a 501c3 non-profit organization, will host its Annual Golf Tournament on Oct. 10th at The Club at Hidden Creek in Navarre. This community event aims to raise funds for the youth in the club’s community.
The Golf Tournament welcomes both seasoned golfers and newcomers for a day of friendly competition, community building, and impactful fundraising. There will be prizes for first, second, just to name a few. The largest prize is a hole-in-one prize of $10,000.
As in years past, the UWF Women’s Golf Team led by Kristin Dorsey will be at the tournament driving for donations.
Individual golfers can register for $125 or form a team of four for $500.
Sponsorship opportunities range from $125 a tee signs to $1,500 tournament sponsor packages, many including complimentary team entries and promotional recognition.
Non-golfers can still participate by sponsoring holes, donating prizes, or volunteering.

Between our three fundraisers, Fishing Rodeo, Golf Tournament and the Christmas Tree sales, we contributed a total of $95,347 back to the community to support 55 local academic & sport organizations, and charities in Santa Rosa and Escambia Counties that support youth and school programs. Which includes:
- $31,000 in college scholarships; $15,500 from the club fund raisers and $15,000 donated by a local, city owned business.
- $41,647 to community programs such as Toys for Tots, P.A.C.E Center for Girls, Santa Rosa Kids House, Take Stock in Children, Gulf Breeze Sports Assoc., Tiger Point Sports Assoc., Project Graduation, Caring & Sharing, GB After School Program, Interfaith Ministries, and Lunch for the teachers and staff of the clubs six local schools at the beginning of the school year and for teacher-of-the-year gifts.
- $1,000 to each of the clubs 6 Santa Rosa County schools’ principals’ fund, to be used at his or her total discretion for emergency funding of under-resourced children.
- $17,600 to the clubs’ six local schools’ sports, robotics, multimedia academy, health academy, and band programs.
